Opioid Treatment

SouthLight currently operates two Medically Assisted Treatment Programs for narcotic addicts. Both methadone and buprenorphine are used as replacement medications for opioids. SouthLight now has over 500 active patients in its Raleigh location. SouthLight started the Raleigh program over 30 years ago and it continues to expand. Law-enforcement values the methadone program as an effective strategy to reduce crime. It also reduces the spread of HIV and sexually transmitted diseases.
