Pregnant & Post Partum Mothers’ Treatment

Pregnant & Post Partum Mothers’ TreatmentThe Wake County CASAWORKS/Perinatal Program is a 16-bed substance abuse residential treatment program that provides supportive wrap-around services for eligible pregnant women recovering from substance abuse. The program also provides services to children of mothers in residence. Services include development of a social network supportive of recovery, enhancing the understanding of addiction, promoting successful involvement in regular productive activity (such as school or work), enhancing personal responsibility and promoting successful reintegration into community living. Services are designed to provide a safe and healthy environment for consumers and their children. In October 2005, SouthLight assumed full responsibility for the operation and management of this gender-specific program for Wake County.
