SouthLight Healthcare offers a continuum of comprehensive treatment services to individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders.
Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapy (BHO)

Basic counseling services are solution-focused and meet a variety of needs in a flexible manner. Our licensed counselors provide support for and work with individuals to understand their needs and together develop treatment plans with goals.

Psychiatric Services

SouthLight Healthcare provides psychiatric services for adult and adolescent clients who need psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Our psychiatric providers are experienced in providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management for the major psychiatric disorders, including depression, bipolar depression, anxiety and panic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We also have expertise in treating people with dual diagnoses (psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders). Psychiatric services are offered in conjunction with other outpatient services or as stand-alone medication management only service.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

SouthLight Healthcare’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program is a comprehensive treatment for clients who have symptoms such as fear of abandonment, impulsivity, intense anger, self-harm behaviors, thoughts of suicide and/or suicide attempts, feelings of emptiness and chaotic relationships. DBT has also been observed to be effective in treating additional disorders such as substance use disorder, eating disorders and treatment-resistant depression. DBT supports stabilizing relationships and reducing the frequent cycle of crisis that many clients experience. The primary goal of DBT is to help clients build a life worth living.

Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP)

SAIOP provides a structured program that includes individual and group counseling for clients struggling with substance use concerns. The program is offered three hours per day and three times per week. In addition to counseling, this program also provides:

  • Urine Drug Screening

  • Case Management

  • Disease Management Strategies

  • Life Skills Relapse Prevention

  • Social Support Family Counseling

Housing and Outpatient Treatment (H.O.T.) Program

The HOT Program works with community partners to combine housing and treatment at a critical time in a client’s recovery. Participants in the program may have their rent covered for up to 12 weeks at Oxford House, Fellowship Home or Recovery Homes, LLC while engaging in SAIOP treatment. The client is responsible for contacting Oxford House, Fellowship Home or Recovery Homes to find a vacancy. ​

Upon undergoing a brief telephone screening, potential clients will be scheduled for a comprehensive assessment with an admissions counselor to determine the individual’s needs.
