SouthLight Healthcare Expands Opioid Treatment Clinic

05/27/2021

With support from the City of Raleigh, SouthLight Healthcare recently expanded its Opioid Treatment Clinic in southeast Raleigh.

The expansion will increase SouthLight’s capacity while creating a more convenient and efficient experience for those on their recovery journey.   Mayor Pro Tem Corey Branch attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour to showcase the expanded clinic to community partners.

The Opioid Treatment Clinic offers life-saving services to medically manage the symptoms of opioid dependence and withdrawal, while creating sustainable, thriving communities and the opportunity for individuals to live healthy, safe and productive lives.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for substance use treatment and mental health services has increased dramatically. SouthLight’s clinic currently serves an average of 550 people every day – 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With the expansion, SouthLight will be able to serve upwards of 800 people in need of services.
