Welcoming clients with commercial insurance. Telehealth appointments are available.

3117 Polarwood Building

SouthLight Healthcare offers Office-Based Opioid Treatment to commercially insured individuals through telehealth and at our newly renovated offices on Poplarwood Court, just off Highwoods Boulevard, between Atlantic Avenue and Capital Boulevard.

Office-Based Opioid Treatment, sometimes referred to as OBOT, provides treatment for people seeking recovery from opioid use disorder in an outpatient setting with the use of prescription medication assisted treatment and counseling.  Buprenorphine, Suboxone, and/or Vivitrol may be prescribed for the treatment of opioid use disorder in the OBOT setting.

Medication Management

“Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to treat substance use disorders and prevent opioid overdose. A common misconception associated with MAT is that it substitutes one drug for another. Instead, these medications relieve the withdrawal symptoms and psychological cravings that cause chemical imbalances in the body. MAT programs provide a safe and controlled level of medication to overcome the use of an abused opioid.” (Source: SAMHSA).
